Beverly Zimmer graduated from the Tyler School of Art in 1990. Her work is informed by 20 years of equine experience in training, breeding and sporting. From the beginning of her career, horses and sporting have been her subject of choice. Always portrayed as the robust, athletic creatures they are capable of being, Zimmer’s sculptures embody their strength, spirit and sensitivity.
Zimmer’s work has been exhibited extensively throughout the United States, and she has been awarded numerous prizes in juried exhibitions in Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania and Florida. Also known for her commissioned work, she has created pieces in stone, clay and silver, as well as bronze.
